Ganderbal Oct 06( KNO)In order to generate awareness about Cyber Crimes, Today on 06-10-2022, Ganderbal Police organised Cyber Crime Awareness Programme at Police Station Safapora. The event was chaired Dy. SP Headquarters Ganderbal Shri As pe news agency news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Gh Hassan-JKPS accompanied by SHO PS Safapora. Other officers were also present on the said occasion. The participants included respectable citizens, youth and students of District Ganderbal were briefed about various types of cyber threats/crimes such as identity theft, credit card fraud, data stealing, cyber stalking, Pornography, OTP frauds etc. Speaking on the occasion, the Dy. SP Headquarters Ganderbal advised the participants to adopt safe browsing habits, to avoid suspicious websites while surfing the internet. He also appealed the participants to not share OTPs or Bank Account Details and Passwords. The officers also explained the ways to adopt precautionary measures while conducting Internet Banking and online transactions. The Participants were also cautioned against accepting friend requests from unknown persons or chatting with unknown persons on social media—(KNO)
